폴란드의 낙태죄 폐지 대규모 시위를 지지한다 The Women’s Party supports and stands in solidarity with Poland’s abortion rights campaign. 여성의당은 폴란드 국민들의 낙태죄 폐지 대규모 시위를 지지하고 연대합니다. 이 시위는 80년대 사회주의권 몰락 이후 역대 최대 규모의 시위입니다. 폴란드 낙태죄 폐지 시위는 '국가는 여성의 몸에 대해 결정할 권한이 없다'는 핵심 메시지를 말하고 있습니다. 4년 전, 폴란드 여성들은 일명 ‘검은 시위’를 통해 정부의 낙태 금지 법안을 무산시키며 여성의 몸을 국가가 통제할 수 없음을 알렸습니다. 폴란드의 여성들은 전국규모의 여성파업을 시작으로, 전국 400여개 지역에서 대규모 시위를 이어가고 있습니다. 한국에서는 2019년 헌법재판소에서 낙태죄 폐지를 결정했지만, 정부가 낙태죄를 유지하려는 상황입니다. 한국 여성들 역시 낙태죄를 완전히 폐지시키기 위해 싸우고 있습니다. 여성의당은 이번 시위를 계기로 폴란드가 더욱 진보적인 사회가 될 것임을 믿습니다. 여성의당은 낙태죄 폐지를 위해 싸우는 곳이라면 세계 어떤 곳이라도 함께 연대하겠습니다. The Women’s Party supports and stands in solidarity with Poland’s abortion rights campaign. Women in Poland defeated the country’s abortion law four years ago. Now, once again, in cities across Poland, thousands of women are protesting against a new abortion law. These protests are the largest ever since the fall of socialism in the 1980s. The key message of the protests is, “The state has no right to decide matters related to women’s bodies.” In 2019, the South Korean Constitutional Court ruled that criminalizing abortion in South Korea was unconstitutional, after failing to reach a consensus. Currently, the Korean government seeks to keep the law with revisions, due before December 31, 2020, a deadline which the Court has granted. Women in Korea are fighting to abolish the law altogether. The Women’s Party believes that the Polish protests will catalyze Poland into becoming a more progressive society.
